Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., "Plush Toilette" 30 hour cloth covered lady's clock set, c1890
CONDITION:
this rare item is in remarkably good complete original condition considering what could have been worn, lost or damaged. It is amazing to find the perfume bottles and stoppers. However, the original covering was "plush" (it is intact on the sides between the bottles and the clock). Most of the plush is actually missing and the green fabric is what is left. However, it looks OK. The paper dial has seconds track. Note that the lid hinges lost their brads, but this is easily remedied. The rear wind time only movement ticks and stops. Another nice item from the collection of Kent Kroeber. Ht 9"
